Passkeys in the Snapp passenger PWA

Problem

Passengers logged in to Snapp’s passenger web app, the website version of the ride-hailing app, with one-time passwords. A team at Snapp was rolling passkeys out across Snapp apps, and I was part of it.

What I did

I owned the frontend integration of passkey (WebAuthn, FIDO2) login in the passenger PWA. I implemented the passkey API integration for passenger login, refactored the auth endpoints it relied on, and added the user-profile integration with the internal profile service.

I also worked on the account flows around it, such as the debt check before account deletion.

Result

OTP requests dropped about 20%: a team result of the passkey work across Snapp apps.
